PERSONAL SECURITYNew Zealand in general and Golden Bay in particular are refreshingly safe destinations.New Zealand so far has been free from terrorism attacks. Our 4 children have all grown up being able to play safely on the beach and around our community!
EARTHQUAKEAdrift and all of the rest of New Zealand outside the Christchurch region was not directly affected by the devastating earthquake on 22nd February. (we didn't even feel the tremor).Adrift In Golden Bay has contributed $1000 to the Christchurch Relief Fund, hopefully to help those families in Christchurch suffering from the effects of the devastation.
Golden Bay is well away from any active earthquake faults, these run along the Southern Alps, through the Marlborough Sounds and Wellington. In 27 years of living here we have felt only a few, very feint tremors.
TSUNAMIWe are fortunate that Golden Bay is safe as it is protected by Farewell Spit and Abel Tasman National Park against tsunami and storm surges in the Pacific Ocean and the Tasman Sea and that our property is elevated roughly 5 metres above high water.
CREDIT CARD SECURITYAs a consumer, you have every right to ask if it's
safe to enter your credit card information on this website.
Firstly, most credit card companies and banks have now eliminated ANY liability
for unauthorized use of your credit card information providing you report abuse within 60 days.
However, we still take the security of your details very seriously.
Using your credit card to make a booking on this website is as safe as other
methods, such as placing an order in person or over the telephone, and here's
why...
This website uses an industry standard booking engine on a secure server (a little lock will appear on the top border of the box or frame where you enter your card details).
If you are still unsure about giving your credit card details over the internet, then use the ENQUIRE button instead of the BOOK NOW button in the booking window. |
