| Nelson in general and Golden Bay in particular are famous for their artisans. Almost every side road boasts an artist of some sort – potters, painters, sculptors, bone and stone carvers, woodworkers, jewellers and weavers of flax, willow and wool as well as the more unusual such as a trug maker and a drum maker.
A few have websites such as our local candle maker Living Light Candles here in Tukurua and Pigeon Toe Studio but most you will need to visit yourself. |
